Market Update

The market has managed to put in the 7th straight positive session and the longest positive streak this year, so a correction should be coming soon but not yet. The VIX also made a 5 year low and if things keep going this way, it will be in the single digits in the not too distant future. This shows traders are not afraid of what is in the economic headlines right now and while I am sure the VIX will once again go back up to 20, it is just impossible to put a date to it. Theoretically speaking, if I one could buy the VIX without the contago issue, the VIX would be a sure way to double your money in relatively short period of time. As the market will turn pessimistic sooner or later, it's actually very predictable in that sense.  But for now, it seems like the market is slowly grinding higher and adding pain to whoever is going against it. Looking at the waves, I see today's wave as part of a micro W3 so the market could gap up tomorrow/rally early morning or correct slightly and continue its trend. So unless any key micro levels break, the count posted shows the outcome with the highest probability.  The market is just a few points away from the Inverse Head and Shoulder's/Ascending Triangle target so it will be interesting what will happen once the market gets there. I favor consolidation and then more upside to the 1589 target unless there are any sudden market changes.

I told myself I would never trade VXX again. But if things do get stretched out too much, I might buy couple of thousand as they are getting really tempting.
